Not everything worth building is pretty while it’s going up.

There are moments when it’s exposed, unfinished, a little uncomfortable to look at. Just a raw shell and the work it took to just start it and then make it last.

Relationships are the same way. Loyalty isn’t tested when everything is easy. It shows up in the in-between stages. The messy parts. The days when it would be easier to walk away but you choose to stay, support, and keep building anyway.

This is one of my favorite photos that was secretly captured by my friend Kate. Seeing myself from the other side like this was a quiet reminder of what is important in life.
