For nearly my entire life, I have struggled with washing my face. I was an Oil of Olay SPF girl for the basic coverage. Face washing felt time consuming and messy (all that water everywhere!!). I tried washing in the shower, simple face wipes, expensive stuff, cheap stuff… nothing stuck.
I started experimenting with things that didn’t need access to a sink, because the get-ready area of the gym doesn’t have one. I didn’t want to have to take a billion products to the gym, either. I wanted my essentials. It took TWO YEARS of playing around with different solutions to come up with this one: a clear bag with travel toiletries I can refill.
This bag has everything I use every day (plus a toothbrush and toothpaste in a protective outside patch). It easily moves from my gym bag to my dresser, where I am able to do my face routine without fighting with my husband for space in our single-sink bathroom. It even can get popped into a travel bag without having to think about if I have everything I need.
TWO YEARS. Finding the right thing takes time. Be curious. Keep trying. Don’t be afraid to experiment.
(You also do t have to spend a bunch of money to try an organizing strategy. I just as easily could have tried a ziplock bag. I would have included the size of the bag into my assessment of the system.
