Well, we're getting the kind of winter we had when we were kids!! If those drives are getting skinny or big banks are in the way we can widen that drive up and remove those piles.

Roofs and decks depending on type of construction or old age eventually may not take the weight of this many snow / ice layers. Give us a call to shovel them off.

Temps have been good for ice making so when we aren't fighting fires and saving lives, we are busy building the Conover skating rink one chilly layer at a time! Be sure and check out the Park Committee's Sledding and Skating Party on Dec 30th from 4-7pm. Loaner skates are available in the new warming shack.

The Town of Conover invites residents and visitors to join an evening of sledding and skating under the lights. The Park Committee will host the party on Tuesday, December 30th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Conover Town Park located at 4697 Park Circle (1/4 mile east of Hwy 45 on Hwy K). Bring the whole family to enjoy music and winter fun. The Conover Sno-Buddies will be on hand with their Tucker Sno-Cat to pull children to the top of the popular sledding hill. Bring your favorite sled or borrow from the loaners in the adjacent 'Sled Shed'. The town skating rink, constructed each year by Conover Fire & Rescue volunteers, will be lit overhead with limited loaner skates available inside the nearby warming shack. Complimentary hot dogs, sandwiches, nachos and hot cocoa will be served inside the Recreation Center while quantities last. S’mores will be roasted on the outdoor warming fires. No admission fee. Donations are welcomed toward ongoing park improvements. Heated restrooms are available on site. Kindly leave your four legged family members safe at home. Per Conover Town ordinance and for the safety of all participants, pets are not permitted in the park during events.
