Don’t forget to Winterize your sprinklers before the freeze!
Turn your lowest sea elevation zone on and then turn off the isolation valve to your PVB (Backflow device).
Open the test ports and drain the device.
Wrap it in an old towel from brass to brass ball valves after turning them partially open and then cover it in a trash bag.
Finally, turn the timer off.

, Six Reasons for Installing an Automatic Rain Shut Off Device:

1. It's all about maintaining beautiful, healthy vegetation. Rain water is purer and healthier for plants than piped water. Notice that no matter how carefully a watering program is managed, turf, ornamental plants, and vegetable gardens are always at their best just after a rain event.
