This 18th birthday / graduation set has quite the story behind its creation.

These were the cookies I was working on during the commercial filming at my house. I had been outside watching the filming, talking to the talent and the camera operators, being used in some filming myself (that propbaly will be cut, but hey it was fun to pretend to be an actress for a minute 😜) and then I went into my kitchen to refill my water. The director who was running the inside A crew called for the front and back doors to be shut and for everyone to hold & be quiet on the set, so I was stuck in my kitchen for a bit. But being the fabulous multitasker that I am, I used my time wisely and got some of the details on this cookie set finished … while simeltaneously listening to Mike Rowe interview a PureTalk user who is a veteran in the next room over. It was the coolest experience. 😃

Our historic home that was built in 1875, has been used for filming multiple times (2 tv shows, 2 movies, and now a commercial). But this was the first time I got to stay on set, see everything, talk to everyone (there are a bajillion people, 75 maybe, that work together to make it all happen) get a pic with Mike Rowe and be filmed myself. Crazy fun day! 🤩

Your baker(me! Amanda) met Mike Rowe & had a huge film crew at my house yesterday … while working on a cookie order in the back as they filmed a PureTalk commercial. It was so fun!

They even had me participate in some B roll film footage and filmed me reading a book and looking at the camera. The still photographer took some shots of me so your girl feels half famous! Lol

This bright & cheerful set of cookies came from my very own noggin’ & they are my latest favorite! 🩷💛

Made these this week for a couple who will soon be blessed with a new arrival after many, many years of trying to have a baby. God’s promises and miracles are everywhere. 🙌🏼🥰

My Kids are out of school & it’s officially summer break. What fun things are you doing this summer?

Besides me making cookies, the kids will be getting their swimming skills dialed in, so that all of my kids can check off that they know how to swim. 🏊 💦 ☀️👙 ✔️

Right now 0 out of 4 of my kids can swim 🫣, so I’ve deemed this as our #1 summer goal. Now to find a pool!

As a teacher, I am often asked by parents what gifts to get teachers. What do teachers REALLY want? I always recommend something sweet, a flower/plant, and/or a gift card. 👩🏼‍🏫

This year GIVE them flowers AND something yummy for TEACHER appreciation / End of the year gifts with some of my cookies. 🌼🍪
