Step aboard for the Chetco Pelican Players’ sensational production of THE LADY PIRATES OF CAPTAIN BREE! Stroke yer your passion fer singin’ an’ dancin’ by bringing a daring crew of salty sea ladies (and lads!) to life right here on the Brookings stage. Directed with unparalleled enthusiasm by the talented duo of Crissy Cooper and Ariel Farris, this be an
opportunity ye don’t want to miss!
We be in search of performers aged 13 and above to join our magnificent cast of singin', dancin' and cutlass-fightin' pirates! Buckle up the essence of a fearless freebooter, ready to conquer any challenge the ocean spits up!
The audition process will include both singing and acting sections. The directin’ captains ask that ye brings yer own music, with a song that showcases yer vocal spark!

If ye be a true sea rover, get shipshape and set a course for something truly handsome: the world of Captain Bree. She’s callin’ and the time to unleash your inner pirate is now, so look sharp about it!

OLD PIRATE• weather-beaten; begins and ends the tale
THE LADY PIRATES
CAPTAIN BREE - captain of the lady pirates; tough and hard on the outside yet soft on the inside.
JANE -second in command and close to Captain Bree.
MOLLY -new recruit; still doesn't think like a pirate and wants everyone to get along
JOSEPHINE- can never remember the rules of pirating
GABRIELLA -only one who can understand the cook; very talkative
SHAWNA -man crazy, especially for Samuel
PATTY -from Ireland; helps to save fellow countryman Fergus
MAGGIE -mean and tough
GEORGIA -feels men are nothing but trouble
THE CAPTIVES
MADAM PRESCOT. -wife of a British ambassador; snooty upper-crust
SAMUEL PRESCOT -nephew of Madam Prescot; "Auntie's boy"
JULIA PRESCOT -niece of Madam Prescot and sister to Samuel; longs for adventure
CAPTAIN JENNINGS -captain of the ship transporting the Prescots
FERGUS. -Irish sailor who can't swim
PROFESSOR BIDWELL -pompous old man and famous writer
THOMAS -cabin boy
COOK -speaks with a Swedish accent heavier than his meatballs
JOHN -prisoner; more brawn than brain
JACK -another prisoner
GEORGE -another prisoner
THE ROYAL NAVY
ADMIRAL MOORE -admiral of the British flee
OFFICERS ONE-FOUR - British sailors

We will also be in the Azalea festival parade on May 25!
