On our way to church, John and I stopped by the boutique and reset the windows. It’s almost summer!

We are very grateful to the Coquille Police Department for the visibility and additional patrols they have been providing. We installed some new hardware and different cameras in the boutique and will be returning to normal business hours this week, 10 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday.

A small new collection of devotionals, journals, and uplifting books arrived at Salt & Light Boutique this week, and honestly… they felt especially meaningful right now. ♥️

In a busy and sometimes difficult world, we hope this little shop continues to be a place of beauty, encouragement, peace, and light for our community.

We are currently open Tuesday–Saturday from 12–5 while I spend more time in the shop personally. Riess will be covering for me at the garden center. Thank you so much for your continued support, kindness, and prayers for small businesses downtown. They mean more than you know.

We will be opening today with reduced hours from 12-5 so we can have two employees present. We hope to extend our hours back to normal as soon as possible. We are working towards other solutions in addition to double staffing. Please be patient with us as we navigate these adjustments.

Yesterday we made the difficult decision to close early after several incidents downtown made our employee and customers feel unsafe.

We are pondering our steps forward and hope to reopen next week with some changes in place. We will keep you apprised of our plans.

We are deeply grateful to the Coquille Police Department for responding quickly and professionally, as they always do.

Our heart remains for this community, our downtown, and the people who work and shop here every day. We believe our small businesses, employees, customers, and vulnerable populations all deserve a safer, healthier environment and better long-term solutions.

Thank you for the kindness and support so many of you showed us.
