I was very lazy this winter and did not get my amaryllis bulbs out of cold storage till mid April. They bloomed within two weeks!!

I do so love peonies! They bloom and are gone so quickly. I savor them while I can! Did you know, you can cut them before they bloom, when the bud is marshmallow like, wrap them in Saran Wrap and put them in the fridge for a month or so. When you take them out and put them in water, they bloom within a day!

This winter I experimented with potting up tulips, daffodils and hyacinths and putting them in the cold room at 43 degrees for 15 weeks. These are the first I took out and let ‘green up’ for two weeks. So far so good!
