Over the years I have managed to collect loads of beautiful things that were either free, next to nothing, or a little bit more than I had at the time! I have put these things together to make a beautiful home filled with magic and beauty. I've been attempting to grow flowers this year and then attempting to arrange them artfully in various vessels. I'm battling a myriad of insects and a very greedy woodchuck but I try to chalk it up to first year growing pains. My arrangements need work in getting them balanced looking but at least I had a good amount of posies to pick today!

Monday morning we had a little pie and coffee party with friends. I made my first blue berry pie and it was spectacular if I do say so myself! I Usually default to The Best Recipe cookbook for baking in order to get things right, but then fogot to put in the sugar! No matter, it was delicious and didn't need the extra sweetness at all 🫐😊❤️☕️

Flower time babies! I'm attempting to grow dahlias on a larger scale this year (last year one plant, this year 20 or so!) The new garden is full of poison ivy and other goodies, the soil isn't quite right and the insects abound, but I chock this all up to first year growing pains and remain optimistic. Other plants are growing like mad and the zinnias are happy. The one in the bouquet is called peppermint stick. The burdock, falling stars and mini sunflower great us in the entryway and the giant lily is currently fully perfuming my bedroom. Whoop!!!
