This month, NUVIS is celebrating Tom Munozā 45th anniversary as an integral part of the NUVIS team. Tom has provided decades of experience with the County of Los Angeles, City of Los Angeles, Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach, Caltrans, LA Metro, Orange County Parks & Recreation, City of Irvine, as well as many other public agencies. He shares his talents and passion for landscape architecture on the City of Corona, Parks & Recreation Commission, as well as a vice president for both the Corona Preservation Society and the City of Corona Parks Foundation. In addition, Tom is an active participant in the local California Park and Recreation Society Programs. Tom also volunteered with the Boy Scouts as a Merit Badge Counselor for Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, and Wilderness Survival was an Assistant Scout Master at the 1997 National Jamboree, an achieved Eagle Scout himself in 1970. Tom joined the firm after his graduation from Cal Poly Pomona in 1978. As the project director for the $15 million Sports Complex in Huntington Beach, Tom facilitated extensive team collaboration and managed the design from concepts thru construction documentation. His current emphasis is in water-wise public- and private-oriented park/recreation planning and urban design projects and he actively participates in California Park and Recreation Society programs and events. Client relations, pictorial graphic exhibits, technical direction of construction documents, and multi-team/agency coordination are his strengths. NUVIS is deeply grateful for Tomās tireless dedication, patient mentorship, design expertise, and active team building that has shaped our current corporate climate. Cheers Tom!!
