Today I want to give a sincere, from-the-heart thank you to Colonel Howard Schauer and the entire S&S crew. My father is in the hospital right now going through brain surgeries, and it’s a hard season for my family.

This Thanksgiving, our hearts are full—and heavy.

As I made my annual trip to H-E-B today to pick up turkeys and hams for our S&S team, I couldn't help but think about the man who started this tradition: my father, the founder of S&S Painting. Drywall. Remodeling.

Right now, he's in the hospital undergoing his third brain surgery. But even in his absence, his values live on through everything we do.

For years, my father made sure that every single S&S employee—every single one—never went without a Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and ham for each family. No exceptions. It's not just a tradition; it's who we are.

This year is no different. Our team has been with us an average of 8 years because we treat them like family—because they ARE family.

"Waste no time arguing what a good man should be. Be one."

Dad, this one's for you. Your legacy of generosity, hard work, and caring for others continues. We're thinking of you, praying for you, and carrying forward everything you taught us.

As the certified Quality Control Manager on this government facility project, I oversaw our three-phase QC process from start to finish.

**Preparatory Phase:**
✓ Conducted pre-work inspections and site assessments
✓ Reviewed all specifications and contract requirements
✓ Verified material certifications and equipment readiness
✓ Completed Activity Hazard Analysis and safety briefings
✓ Established quality checkpoints and documentation protocols
✓ Photographed existing conditions before work began

**Initial Phase:**
✓ Monitored demolition and surface preparation procedures
✓ Inspected substrate conditions and documented findings
✓ Verified proper safety compliance (OSHA 30, EMS-385)
✓ Conducted real-time quality checks during installation
✓ Documented each step with photos and inspection reports
✓ Captured progress photos at every critical checkpoint

Every cabinet removal, every surface prep, every installation – inspected, verified, photographed, and documented to meet Army Corps and DoD standards.
