🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, ROLAND “JUNIOR” BURNHAM! 🎉
Celebrating 40 Years at Overhead Door Company of Cortland!

This month, we proudly celebrate Roland “Junior” Burnham and his incredible milestone: 40 years of dedicated service, unmatched craftsmanship, and unwavering professionalism.

Junior joined our team back in 1985—when gas was $1.09 a gallon and you had to rewind your movies! Since then, he’s become the backbone of our company and a true master of his craft. If there’s a garage door problem out there, chances are Junior has solved it—twice.

A consummate professional, Junior has built a legacy on precision, pride, and an uncanny ability to troubleshoot with nothing but an impact driver and a sideways glance. He’s trained generations of techs, tackled the trickiest installs, and never backed down from a challenge (or a little friendly teasing).

👉 Flashback to 1985… When Junior First Clocked In:
• Back to the Future hit theaters.
• Acid-washed jeans and Members Only jackets were all the rage.
• “Careless Whisper” topped the charts.
• Nintendo released the NES (cue Duck Hunt battles!).
• “New Coke” came (and quickly went).
• Windows 1.0 launched.
• Phones had cords. So did power tools.
• Friday night? Blockbuster time.
• The Bears did the Super Bowl Shuffle.
• And no one had email—but garage doors still had to open, and Junior made sure they did.

While the world has changed, Junior’s commitment to doing the job right hasn’t. For four decades, he’s shown up, rolled up his sleeves, and delivered quality work with grit, grace, and good humor.

For the first time in over 70 years, Main Street in the City of Cortland is officially OPEN to two-way traffic!

We’re excited to share this milestone moment with our community as downtown takes a big step forward. Whether you’re heading north, south, or just out to support local businesses, Main Street is now open in both directions.
