Grace Blu Interior Design is a boutique interior design firm that designs outside the box and creates unique and bold spaces for residential and commercial projects. When Rona Graf launched Grace Blu in 2007, she made the intentional decision not to use her own name. From the beginning, her vision for her design studio was a “collaborative of creatives” that would combine their skills and experien

ces to create one-of-a-kind spaces. Grace Blu’s most recent collaboration with fellow principal designer Megan Yang reinforces the construction forward design studio’s commitment to innovative solutions and diverse perspectives. The meaning is two-fold, as seen in their convention challenging designs and client-centric approach. Rona and team forgo genre and rigid process, instead editing their approach and style to create a fresh and inimitable space every single time. Grace Blu has received the attention of many regional and national publications like HGTV Magazine, Arch Digest, Better Homes & Gardens, CA Home & Design, RUE Magazine, Modern Luxury, Orange County Register, and Coast Magazine. Most recently, Grace Blu was honored with the title of HGTV Designer of the Year 2020.

Project is almost done!

Coffee ☕️ in hand, walked out my front yard to check on the project next-door and ended up being the perfect timing because the Landscape company dropped off all the plants today and I got to place them all exactly where I wanted them to be!

Me and the guys got down and dirty carrying plants and putting them in the right spot.

I can’t wait for you guys to see how pretty this house is going to be, and even better. It’s going to make my house look like it has a new and improved best friend.

Note to everybody reading this: make sure you’re there while the plants get arranged. It’s imperative that you as the designer delegate and do the layout of all the landscaping plants. If there is no Landscape designer involved today I became the Landscape designer.

She tried to get a Club Med job. Couldn't speak French. Couldn't teach fencing. Moved to Maui instead. 😂

Annie Clougherty spent her college years bartending, dreamed of traveling the world, and was absolutely not ready to be an adult. Then September 11th happened. She came home. Someone mentioned a real estate assistant position. She was tired of slinging drinks.

This is what custom looks like.

Every single piece you see in this space was designed specifically for this cottage. The art, the surfboard, the gallery wall, the vintage postcards. None of it was pulled off a shelf. All of it was made with intention, made for this place, and made to tell a story that only this cottage can tell.

That is the Grace Blu difference. Every space gets its own soul. 🎨

That plain white wall was not going to cut it. Not in this cottage. Not on our watch.

So we added a heavily textured wall covering and layered a custom designed surfboard right on top of it. And not just any surfboard. This one has the longitude and latitude coordinates, a nod to the Wedge, and yes, even the classic frozen banana tucked right into the design. 🤙

This is what designing outside the box actually looks like. Not just hanging something pretty. Layering meaning, texture, and unexpected elements together until the room tells a story nobody else could tell.

Helllloooooo 👋🏼 from the new and improved at the Lido House hotel in Newport Beach!

We welcomed back the visionary and man behind the entire hotel Robert Olson to take a quick tour of the newly refreshed cottage.

Bob loved what we did and he is so excited to be unveiling 5 new cottages soon on the property!

This hotel is very close to my heart, I absolutely loved working on the project, my son practically grew up on this job site and we have been so fortunate to have worked on both of Bob Olson’s personal residences after the Lido House was completed.
