It's with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our former Executive Director of RISPLS and also my dear friend. For countless years, Deb was the unwavering go to person for anything and everything related to RISPLS. Deb's dedication was unmatched and her legendary Whoop Ass Jar was a testament to her spirited approach and commitment. Deb's presence will be deeply missed by all who had privilege to know and work alongside her. Our heartfelt thoughts and sincere prayers are with the McCormick Family as they navigate this challenging time.

Proclaimed nationally by then-President Ronald Reagan on February 13, 1984, National Surveyors Week is celebrated each year starting the third Sunday in March. The purpose of the week is to educate the public about the value of land surveying through classroom contact, media, and visible public service.

Let’s take this week to highlight our impact, share our stories, and inspire the next generation of surveyors.
