REPLACED SILL PLATES!
With 1.5 feet to
2 ft of clearance under this 1950s home! Replaced 65 ft of “sill plates”(the wood board on top of foundation)
40 feet of the sill plates were covered by stone on the outside so had to replace from under the home. The rest we were able to do from both under and out side the home. Laying hard wood floors (level 2 wood) lots of sanding to do. No floor transitions, just continuous hard wood throughout every room. Took 5 days to lay all the flooring. 4 bedrooms, kitchen , 2 living rooms a dining room , 3 hallways and 5 closets. This monster of a house took six days to paint! The owners wanted the same color . I got the “top tier “ paint for this client with a satin finish. They love it ! Another remodel done! Tore everything out and installed all new.
The ceiling joists were hanging down 6.5 inches in the middle. Leveled out the the the ceiling joists and installed a beam under the floor and directly above that u see the ceiling joists. Replumbing the bathroom, moved the hot water heater to another closet and switched the toilet and vanity to opposite sides of the bathroom. This home went from an old barn style build to a solid beautiful spacious home! Laminate floors, tiles shower, drywall, texture , paint, beautiful trim and base . Waiting for cabinets to come it . Then this one is done!
