The historic Church of the Presidents in Long Branch is one step closer to reopening thanks to nearly $2 million in restoration funding.
Built in 1879, this remarkable site is the only place in the United States associated with seven U.S. presidents, including Ulysses S. Grant, a rare and powerful link to our nation’s history.
After years of closure due to structural deterioration, the new funding will support critical repairs and preservation work, with plans to reopen the building as a museum around 2027.
This milestone highlights what’s possible when investment, advocacy, and community commitment come together to save an irreplaceable historic place.
