It’s been a while since I posted anything but here I added a railing (on the right) of the stairs for an elderly customer along with staining the deck with clear stain.

Worked through the rain to finish a big fence and gate repair job! As always Digby Handyman Services LLC offers reasonable prices! Certainly a tricky job to move a few sections of fence a foot forward to go around two large trees. Also two front gates were rebuilt using material sourced from the customers property. A large company was charge a arm and leg for this type of work to be performed!

Digby Handyman Services LLC, the story behind the name

The name “Digby” was originally coined as a name for my late grandfather John DiGiuseppe born May 24th (1928-2021). He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and some of his fellow sailors called him “Jack Digby” as they could not pronounce “DiGiuseppe”. He proudly used this nickname for the rest of his life.

As a jack of all trades my grandfather could fix about anything from mechanics, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work. In the home he once lived in (now owned by me) he made extensive improvements including building a deck, finishing the basement and adding a second bathroom all on his own. When he was young he also worked as a handyman on the side while building a successful career as a accountant and later president of two companies during the 1970s-80s.

As my grandfather taught me the basics of what I know now, I established this buisness in his name and honor.

Saturday: Install ceiling fans for investment property/ fixer upper
Sunday: Finish caulking windows and doors for a clients custom built home. Project was started the previous weekend.
