🚨🚨 POSSIBLE SCAM ALERT 🚨🚨

it's been brought to our attention by one of our customers, who lives just outside of hudson, that a gentleman in an older, dark colored, unmarked pick up truck stopped by their house/business looking to seal their driveway on the spot. at the time, it was cold, there were no measurements taken and the person mentioned spraying the sealer as their means of application. it's sort of unclear if this person approached the customer claiming to be abby's or if abby's was mentioned, giving the impression that this person worked for us.

**UPDATE: our customer checked with his staff to confirm which vehicle this person was using (he owns a business so multiple vehicles were around) and it was a pick up truck rented from home depot. additionally, i was able to confirm this person did not specifically say they were from abby's but did reply that they were when asked. our customer thought it was one of our guys because he's on our list and had been expecting us.**

- abby's will never just show up to your house. we will always call to schedule an estimate.

- abby's will never show up in an unmarked vehicle, unless previously discussed (i think this is the same for almost all reputible companies).

- abby's does not spray our sealer, we broom finish every job that we do and are proud to say that we do so.

- abby's still has the same crew that we've had for years now. you see their selfies on our page often so you know who they are.

if someone approaches you in a similar manner and you feel strange about the situation, trust your gut. get as much information as you can and call the police to report the situation. if you feel more comfortable calling abby's, then call abby's. post about it on facebook, let your neighbors know, etc. we don't want anyone to get scammed, especially not by someone claiming to be associated with our business. stay alert everyone!

it certainly doesn't feel like it buttttttt it's officially spring (yay!) which means we're out of hibernation and getting ready for the 2026 season!

about a week late but shout out to Charlotte Creek Contracting & Property Maintenance for putting up our christmas lights this year! ryan was here on a sunday, by himself. it was windy as hell and he got on our VERY steep roof with absolutely no hesitation.

funny story! the other day, we got this quote request via messenger. notice anything....odd?

i'll give you a hint. tad lives in ohio!

after a quick little chat, it turns out that tad saw one of our posts alllllllll the way in ohio and didn't realize that we were located over 700 miles away so he reached out for an estimate. there's no mistaking it, it was our post (he sent it to us).

what do you think, guys? should we give him a quote? 🤣
