Now that we are getting ready for school, be sure that your kids have a key to get into the house just in case Mom and Dad are not home. We always used the method of putting a key inside the backpack on the seam with a big safety pin. Then if we were not at home when the kids got home, they could get inside. Tip of the day: If you have the keypad locks on your home, you need to have a key available because the batteries will die and will give you no warning. You can give a key to your family, friends or a neighbor or you can hide a key outside where you know it is located in a safe place.
