My incredible parents are visiting right now from Michigan, and we spent the day together refreshing planters and hanging baskets around the city to get ready for the catfish festival. Looking forward to seeing everyone around town this weekend. I will say, I’ve been very impressed to see so many citizens volunteering, neighbors cleaning up their yards, city employees and government officials working around the clock, and the many rotary club members continuing to prepare for the festival. It’s so encouraging to see a community coming together in this way.
