If you only knew the engineering it took for 2 guys and a step son to get these 12 trusses set as beautifully as they did.

Let me correct that. 2 men , a step son, a bobcat that wasn't quite tall enough, and a little bit of Jerry rigging with what we had insight to work with.

Each truss 350 lbs.

Very proud of the job we did.

2 days

1 day to set the first one perfectly positioned for our roof to line up

Day 2 all the rest once we had the wall height front and back set accordingly.

So unbelievably happy with this concrete pour on this garage floor noth

This took some serious string line and forming work. 30 ft front to back 24 ft wall to wall

We built the floor up way above grade so we can slope the new driveway away from the garage.

I put our plywood 24 inches down into the back of our footing to hold the weight. We will just cut it 3 inches below grade.

Worked exactly as I hoped it would.

When I walk through and look at the job we did on this addition. I truly feel proud to be the builder.

And when I say we....I mean just myself and business partner and right hand man clayton.

We have done every single step of this job. From the concrete and foundation work to framing and exterior, and now the electrical and plumbing is complete.
All with the proper permits and inspections with and engineered drawing based on my design plan.

The skilled trade industry has literally gone to s**t. Men like us are a dying breed. I'm glad to be one of the few.

When you take pride in your work and truly set you sights on being the best at what you do it will always bare more fruit.

Had the best birthday in my 42 years on this earth.

We signed a work agreement/contract to build this customer his 2 car garage he's been wanting for a long time. Start after this addition and

The branch manager of our customers bank has been watching the progress and asked if he could refer to his clients that are looking to remodel their homes.

Very proud of the job we have done. Prepping for paint and moving inside. Sofit work is for the birds. We got it looking good but damn it was alot of ladder work.

People always ask me ,Brent why don't you use nail guns instead of always using screws.

2 reasons people

Nail guns split your lumber and looks like s**t

Secondly there is always an added feature or change of plans when remodeling.

I Don't think I've ever had a job not have some sort of Change order add on.

If you use nails you have too rip it all out or pry everything apart...........and.........

When you use screws, and customer finally decides to add a shower instead of just doing the original half bath that was on the plans.

All you do is back out a few screws and a cut or 2 to move the wall

and Ta' Da' we took a half bath and made it a full bath in less then an hour.

Some of our best work. Special thanks to my good friend Tom Luyster for laying out these roof rafters. We have a very difficult existing roof that we must tie into. Had to be perfectly done in order for everything from roof to gutters to fall out right.

Good day in Simpsonville. Our framing and concrete work is A-1 and spot on. But my long time mentor and friend Vincent Abell let me know I still had a lot to learn about how to use a shovel. Had to call the boss to bring us a load of dirt. Got some top quality dirt put exactly where we needed it. Along with a few lessons on how to spread it.

I Learned most of what I know on how to build this addition from that man. Learned I needed to become a better shovel user while I had him there😆

Good stuff. Always good to get reminded I haven't learned it all yet. Therefore my ears always stay open.

Good day in Simpsonville. The sun is shining and all our hard work and proper planning paid off. Had our concrete pumped in yesterday and today all our bubbles are smiling back at us dead center.

Foundation walls are perfectly level from every direction left to right, front to back, side to side. Couldn't be more happy with the outcome.

Weather has killed us on getting this part complete.
Leaving the actual forms up an extra day just to insure a sufficient curing time.

Hard part is done time to put on the tool belt and build this thing. Me + toolbelt + right hand man Clayton+ my good Thom Luyster showing me the best way to tie this roof in the right way = crew of 5 amigos framing on a good day

Key to success in this line of work is knowing when and how to take what you already know. Use it along with thorough research and fact checking find the best way to give you the best results.

Always do things according to manufacturers specifications or by engineers standard or guidelines and Never cut corners.

once you have all the proper information. Call the necessary plays and buy the necessary materials to insure you have no problems.

Most importantly never let a problem become a problem. Solve it immediately with whatever solution presents itself.

For instance

when you can't find a concrete chute extension to rent anywhere in Louisville.

And you have to poor concrete 20 feet away from the truck on Wednesday.

You build your own chutes on Tuesday. Get up 2 hours early so you can set up before truck shows up.

We Built 2 for what it cost to rent one.
