We want to thank you again for your continued patience and understanding. We know this disruption has impacted your life and business — and we want to bring you up to speed on where things stand today.
What We Know:
• The issue began on Tuesday evening (May 14) and has caused widespread voice and messaging service interruptions, particularly on wireless connections.
• Since then, we've made significant progress toward restoring service.
• Wireline voice services have been successfully restored — enabling some customers to reconnect.
• We are now focused on re-establishing core wireless voice service — a complex process that is well underway.
• Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) is being prepared as an additional option where feasible.
• Brand-to-brand calls (between customers on our network) will be a leading sign of recovery in our wireless voice capabilities.
• We continue to confirm there is no evidence of any customer data compromise.
What's Next:
• Our teams are working around the clock to fully restore services, and while we can't offer a precise timeline, momentum is strong and we're moving in the right direction.
• We are restoring service in a phased and prioritized way to ensure the most essential connectivity is addressed first.
• We are still investigating the root cause and will share more when we are able — but our sole focus right now is full restoration.
