The Story
I was 2mon post delivery and my oldest son (11y at the time) was visiting for the summer. One morning I had needed to get to the store to purchase more items for Baby Angelo, cook breakfast, wash dishes, take a shower (and the list goes on) all on less than 5Hrs of sleep. My son knew how to do some cooking and was able to help with some things, but not all. So I, kangaroo’d wrapped the baby on me and proceeded to make the french toast. While doing so, Angelo fell asleep. I attempted to place him to his bed so that I’m more productive. Within seconds he awakens, french toast starts burning, and he’s crying. A friend of mine happen to call right at that moment to say hello and congrats on the new edition and sensed that help was needed. She arrived to my home less than 15min and she said “Hey mommy, its going to be just fine.” with a huge non-judgmental smile. She started the french toast again, my son loved it! After I nursed baby Angelo, she held him and rocked him back to sleep, I got in the shower (first time in days) and was in peace!! This may not seem like much to most, but it was the most!!
