At Ken Vaughn’s Home Comfort, the safety of our customers is our top priority. We will continue to provide our essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic, with some changes made in order to protect our customers and technicians.
WHAT CAN OUR CUSTOMERS EXPECT?
We have been advised to pre-screen all customers before entering their home or business. You will be asked about any potential exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. Any information obtained will remain strictly confidential, and will only be used to help our technicians determine how best to proceed with repairs as safely as possible. You and/or other persons in your home/business may be asked to isolate in a separate area while your technicians perform required repairs. This means remaining at a distance of at least 6 feet away from technicians at all times. You may choose an area that enables you to still monitor your technicians while maintaining this safe distance. Your technicians may also wear simple personal protective equipment such as gloves or masks. Your technicians will sanitize all surfaces that they must touch, both before and after coming in contact with them. Our office will also be closed to in-person business at this time, with reduced hours for our office staff. You may leave a message at any time. We check our messages regularly throughout the work week, and will receive communications within 24 hours. Payments may still be made with cash, check, or credit at the time of service, or may be mailed in, or called in to pay by credit or debit.
WHY ARE THESE CHANGES SO IMPORTANT?
As an HVAC company that performs essential repair and replacement services for residences, assisted living facilities, medical offices, grocers, gas stations, restaurants, and many other essential businesses during this pandemic, we have a significant chance of coming into contact with those who may be ill, even if they are asymptomatic. We have a responsibility to all of our customers, whether they are young and healthy or older and immune-compromised, to take all possible precautions in order to ensure their safety. We do not take that responsibility, or the trust in us that it entails, lightly.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
We understand that this is an unprecedented time of uncertainty for our world. We want to do what we can to reduce the spread of this virus while maintaining the quality of service that you are accustomed to with our company. To help us do that, we ask that you answer our pre-screening questions honestly, and observe safe social distancing while our technicians perform repairs. If the issue you are experiencing with your equipment is not urgent, we may place the more urgent calls at the top of our list. This may potentially mean slightly longer wait times, but it will ensure that the most vulnerable of our customers receive the services they need as soon as possible. We ask that you remain patient as we navigate these changes together.
