Here I built an angled wall for a gas fireplace that the homeowner wanted to have for the cold days of winter. The upper part, above the fireplace, is stepped back to allow for a deeper mantle. This project stemmed from the mantle that came from the homeowner's sister's house. I also tiled the floor area (hearth) and flanked the sides of the fireplace with matching tile. Fun project.

Here I took out a section of wall that was cosmetic. It served no real purpose, plus the corner bead had separated. The homeowner wanted it taken out if it was not load bearing - luckily, it was not. She couldn't be happier that it is gone - as if it never existed.

Another challenging job - the 2nd story foyer light replacement. Yikes, I am falling...no, but very sketchy for sure due to the challenge of ladder placement for safe removal/installation. Also painted the foyer - walls and ceiling.

You have to cut them some slack, but geez...the delivery of these would suggest they were chucked right out of the back of the vehicle. Surprisingly though, there were only a couple pieces that were goofed up and I could work with them still. This pile represents what was needed to update stair treads and risers from 1st to 2nd floor.

Part of the wall removal job - needed to install and finish oak flooring to match existing. Turned out great! Sometimes matching existing can be near impossible.

Made a couple of custom cabinets - could not find readily available cabinets that match existing or are the desired dimensions. Raised panels made it a bit of a challenge as well. The color, in person, appears much closer than what the pictures show.
The trash can cabinet, filled the space where a trash compactor was.
The tall cabinet now holds a folding step ladder, brooms, and rechargeable vacuum - with a receptacle at the back of the cabinet for the power source. The top part holds cookie sheets and such.

Not something I do often, removing a wall. Turned out to be a load bearing wall - we had an engineer spec the new beam, at nearly 19 feet long (beam was three laminated 1 1/2 thick, 14 inches tall by roughly 19 feet) needed to give a nice new open floor plan. Big job for a one guy crew, plus the help of my brother when putting the new laminate beam in place - quite a challenge for sure. It turned out great! Shout out to my brother Steve!

Installation of new door, which lead to install of new joist/repair of joist, subfloor, and hardwood flooring. New flooring was not an exact match, but I was able to mill this to match the original flooring thickness. I changed the orientation of the flooring as to not have to make the flooring repair a bigger job than need be. I think it turned out great!
