Here’s a simple air-dry clay diffuser recipe you can try at home:
Materials:
100 g air-dry clay
1–2 drops of essential oil per piece (lavender, bergamot, eucalyptus, etc.)
Rolling pin or smooth surface
Knife or cookie cutters (optional)
Small bowl of water (for smoothing)
Instructions:
Prepare the clay: Knead the clay until it’s soft and pliable.
Shape your diffuser: Roll the clay out to about 0.5–1 cm thick. Cut or mold into your desired shape—small discs, hearts, or tiles work well.
Smooth edges: Use a little water on your fingers or a brush to smooth any rough edges.
Drying: Let your pieces air-dry for 24–72 hours until completely hard. Drying time depends on thickness.
Add essential oils: Once dry, place a few drops of essential oil directly onto the clay. The porous surface will absorb and slowly release the scent.
Optional decoration: Paint or seal your pieces if desired, but avoid sealing the part that will absorb the oil.
✅ Tip: You can make small pieces to place in drawers, closets, or even hang as ornaments. Refresh with essential oil whenever the scent fades.
