This opportunity honestly felt like a dream. The entire series would have filmed in just 3–5 days — it would’ve been a total whirlwind in the best way. ❤️

It may not have unfolded the way we hoped, but God’s timing is always best. And who knows what the future holds?

Even if nothing ever comes from it, simply being considered for something like that is such an honor and I’m just thankful for the experience.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s where so many of life’s memories happen…holiday baking, after-school snacks, family dinners on the go, and hours spent cooking for the people you love.

I believe every kitchen can be both functional and beautiful.

It doesn’t have to look perfect. In fact, I think it’s better when it looks a little lived-in, a little cozy, and a little charming.

Add the things that make your kitchen feel like you, and swap out the ugly everyday things for pretty ones. And stop letting the Pinterest perfect photos you see while scrolling stop you from making your kitchen the place you want to be.

If you’re constantly second-guessing things like what size pendants should I buy? What size rug do I need? How high should I hang my art? Check out my $9 Designer’s Cheat Sheet.

It’s packed with the practical measurements and design formulas I use all the time so you can make decisions (and purchases) with confidence instead of guessing.

What are the biggest design dilemmas in your kitchen?

I’ve learned that a tidy house is a calm house. I’d much rather stay up a little later to reset the house than wake up to that dreaded feeling of knowing I still have to clean it. Who’s with me?

And if I’m going to clean, I want my kitchen to smell good while I’m doing it. The Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Kitchen Basics in Peony smell like I just brought the garden inside, minus the dirt. Which is especially nice considering the relentless 100+ degree heat roasted my actual flowers to a crisp. 😭 At least my kitchen can still smell like they’re alive.

The first thing you see when you walk into our bedroom is this giant king-sized bed… and it takes up a lot of real estate in a smaller bedroom.

The paint is perfect. The windows are dressed to the nines. But this room wasn’t going to feel finished without doing SOMETHING with the bedding. Thanks to y’all, I think we made the right choice because this brown floral bedding is truly the cherry on top. 🤎

I’m loving the Euro shams, although I did order new inserts because these cheap ones just aren’t doing the job for me. 😂 And now I’m wondering… what would king-sized shams in the quilted fabric look like instead?! Obviously I’ll keep you updated because I can never just leave well enough alone.

Comment BEDDING and I’ll send you all the links! The quilt was a bit of a splurge, but WORTH. IT.

Next up, we’re talking budget- how much I made selling old decor, how much I’ve spent on this makeover, and how much we still have left to go.

HINT: A family photo gallery wall. EEK. Stay tuned.

Don’t get me wrong, Rub ’n Buff is GREAT for picture frames and other smaller decor pieces that don’t get a ton of use (European Gold is my favorite!). But I feel like we hear a lot about the quick fix and not nearly enough about how those fixes actually hold up over time.

So consider this your fair warning: I wouldn’t recommend it for hardware. It wears, but unfortunately… not in the good way. 😅

This bathroom vanity barely gets used, and as you can see, the hardware has definitely seen better days.

Sometimes the “easy fix” is great for the moment, but it’s worth thinking about how it’ll hold up with everyday use, too!

Every living room is different.

Some homes have an open-concept space where you have to create separate “rooms” with your furniture layout. Some have a more formal living room, while others have a bonus room meant for lounging at the end of the day. And some (like mine!) have a space that needs to do ALL of the above. 🤪

Regardless of how your living room functions, it’s often one of the hardest-working rooms in the house. It’s where you gather with friends, cozy up for a movie, and host every holiday. 😂

I truly believe you can have a beautiful, functional living room without renovating or spending a fortune. A lot of it comes down to layout, scale, spacing, paint color, and choosing pieces that actually work for your space (don’t sleep on Marketplace!).

A few things I’d consider:• A properly sized sofa• A large area rug• Coffee table + ottomans• End tables + lamps• Curtains• Art• Pillows + throws• Greenery• Storage baskets• A console or sofa table• Sconces or floor lamps for additional lighting

If you’re constantly second-guessing things like how big should my TV sideboard be? How high should I hang my art? What size rug do I need? How big should my light fixture be?
