There’s something magical that happens when two makers come together with a shared vision. We recently partnered with shellshock_artisrty a incredibly talented local artist, to bring a farmhouse bench to life in a way we’d never imagined.

The vision? Hand-painted bees and beehives dancing across reclaimed wood; a celebration of nature, life and the beauty of small details that make a piece truly one-of-a-kind.

What struck us most wasn’t just the final result (though it’s stunning). It was watching shellshock_artisrty work; the intentionality in every brushstroke, the way she understood the wood grain and let it inform the design, the genuine passion for creating something that would stand the test of time. That’s the energy we live for.

This bench isn’t just furniture. It’s a conversation between two craftspeople who believe that handmade matters. That stories matter. That when you slow down and collaborate with people who care as much as you do, something extraordinary happens.

When a customer in Tennessee reached out with a clear vision, we started where every great piece begins: the design conversation. They didn’t want *just* a coffee table—they wanted something that could flex with real life, shifting from everyday living to a functional workspace in seconds.

From there, we moved into material selection and build planning. A hand-selected cherry top was chosen for its warmth and character, then paired with a dark-stained base to bring depth and contrast—classic, but still refined.

In the build, every choice was made for longevity and performance. A bowtie inlay was set to stabilize the grain and honor the natural movement of the wood, and the joinery throughout was built with the kind of strength you don’t have to explain—you feel it over time.

Assembly is where it all comes together, and this is where the “magic” lives: a smooth lift mechanism that turns the table into a comfortable work surface, with hidden storage below to keep the room clean and uncluttered. It’s the kind of functionality that disappears until you need it—then becomes indispensable.

Finally, we delivered it from our shop in Florida all the way to its new home in Tennessee—built to work hard, age beautifully, and serve for generations.

This piece started as reclaimed pallets, weathered and full of history. We transformed them into something that tells a different kind of story. Each box is engraved with words that matter: Rosemary. Thyme. Dreams. Love.
