Six years of Rebekah Nicole Interiors. 🤍

It’s a little surreal to type that.

Six years ago, I started this business with a dream, a lot of determination, and very little idea of what the journey ahead would hold. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of designing homes for incredible clients, collaborating with talented trades and vendors, and learning a lot along the way.

And while I could probably write a book about what these six years have taught me, I narrowed it down to six lessons. Here's a few of them...

1. Learn from people who are ahead of you.
2. Most problems aren’t as catastrophic as they feel in the moment.
3. Take time to recharge your creative tank.

I’m sharing all six lessons (and a little reflection on the journey) in this month’s blog.

More than anything, I’m incredibly grateful for every client, referral partner, vendor, friend, and family member who has been part of RNI over these last six years.

Sometimes, all a room needs is a fresh coat of paint, thoughtfully selected furnishings, and layered decor to completely transform how it feels. Not every home requires a full renovation to experience a meaningful refresh.

The moment we stepped into this project, we knew the stainless steel range hood had to be addressed.

It was overly industrial, overly modern—and completely out of place in a 100-year-old kitchen.

Since relocating it wasn’t an option, we designed a custom overlay to transform it.

What was once a visual disruption is now fully integrated into the space—intentional, harmonious, and aligned with the character of the home.

I’ve always loved designing children’s spaces—not because they lean “kid-themed,” but because they’re where clients are most willing to take risks.
There’s a freedom in these rooms. A willingness to be playful, curious, and a little unexpected. And that’s often where the most meaningful, emotionally rich designs come to life.
While calm, grounded spaces serve a purpose, there’s something powerful about giving yourself permission to explore, experiment, and create without limits.
Some of our most memorable work has come from that mindset.

Such a special morning at Argyle Elementary speaking to the art class about the world of interior design. We walked through the full process… floor plan, mood board, design board, and the final result. Then the students brought their own ideas to life using magazine clippings (which were incredible!)
