It’s not stain ! What you’re seeing here is the difference between heartwood and sapwood in walnut:

🤎 Heartwood (the darker brown) is the older, inner part of the tree - known for its rich color and durability.

🤍 Sapwood (the lighter outer edge) is the younger wood that carries nutrients through the tree.

Together, they create these one-of-a-kind natural patterns - no two boards will ever be the same.

It’s one of our favorite things about working with wood… each piece has its own story 🪾✨
