Let's talk about purging before a move. It's not optional, friends!
Every single thing you don't purge gets packed, moved, unpacked, and given a home. That broken lamp? Coming with you. The 47 mismatched Tupperware lids? Also coming. The box labeled "misc" from your last move that you never opened? You guessed it.
And as professional organizers, those unpurged items haunt us. Truly. We still think about the boxes we've unpacked that never should have made the trip.
Purging first means you pay to move less, unpack less, and walk into your new home with only the things you love. No ghosts of clutter past following you in.
