Returning to their alma mater made this visit especially meaningful for Bruce Bernbaum ’79 B.Arch and Tricy Magadini ’78 B.Arch of Bernbaum Magadini Architects. During their time at the University of Arizona College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, they had the opportunity to meet with architecture students and connect with recipients of the Patricia Magadini Architecture Scholarship.

Established in 2023 and first awarded in 2024, the Patricia Magadini Architecture Scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate architecture students who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and a commitment to advancing women in the field of architecture. To date, three students have received the scholarship.

Bruce and Tricy were inspired by the passion, creativity, and future vision of the next generation of architects and are honored to help support their journey.

Tricy Magadini received the Glenna Goodacre Creative Art Award, instituted by the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. “I was very humbled to be honored with an award that bore Glenna Goodacre’s name. She was a renowned artist and sculptor and is considered by many as ‘America’s Sculptor,’ ” said Magadini, partner of Bernbaum/Magadini Architects.

Tricy was recognized at the organization’s April meeting for her incredible design of some of Dallas’ most iconic contemporary homes.

The award: Since 2022 this honor has been bestowed to design, build, and architecture professional whose years of consistently and forward-thinking work and service has left indelible legacies.
