A heartfelt THANK YOU!
As I prepare to sign off as Bolin’s PTA President 2025-26, I just want to take a moment to say thank you! This year has truly been an honor, and none of what we accomplished would have been possible without the incredible staff, families, volunteers (especially Benny Bolin), and students who make Bolin so special.
First, I want to thank our amazing staff for all of the collaboration, support, and countless hours poured into our kiddos. PTA can only be successful when a school staff chooses to partner alongside us, and Bolin’s staff has done exactly that.
A HUGE shoutout goes to Ms. B (Ms. Boyce)! From leading our Watch D.O.G.S. pizza party, presenting at Ready, Tech, Go, helping coordinate our kindness rock display, and making sure ALL students felt included during the holidays — she has gone above and beyond in every possible way. (Ask your kiddos what word or verse they put on their rock and they can point it out by the side of the building based on house color!) But more importantly, every single day she pours into our students and supports them in ways most people never even see. We love and appreciate her so much!
Our PTA would never run the same way without the incredible support from our administration. Endless gratitude to our principal, assistant principal, and Andie for everything they do behind the scenes to keep things organized and running smoothly so we can create fun, meaningful experiences for our students and families. Especially Andie — who is beyond deserving of the citizenship award for all she does for our campus community.
To our teacher representatives, Mrs. Coe and Mrs. Goldberg, thank you for being the amazing people you are. Many PTA collaborations were made possible with your help by working so closely together all year developing volunteer opportunities, planning parties, and helping make events successful for our families and students. Your support has meant so much.
We also started the year with OPD Smiles as our only Blazer Status sponsor and ended the year with two more amazing BLAZER sponsors added to the team! Thank you to OPD Smiles, Gym Jitsu, and Cozy Coffee for being absolute rockstars this year! We also had some delicious pizza thanks to Italian Villa! We are so grateful to partner with local businesses that support our school, and we hope our Blazer community continues supporting them in return.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. I think you get the picture, PTA is such a huge part of creating the community feel at our school. The fun memories our kids make through book fairs, breakfasts with loved ones, Watch D.O.G.S. events, parties, teacher appreciation, and so much more happen because of the dedication of both our PTA and our staff who volunteer extra hours after already long days.
This year was a huge undertaking, especially as so many new board members stepped into new roles. We learned a lot, worked hard, and accomplished some really wonderful things together. More than anything, I hope your families made sweet memories this year. I hope you all have a wonderful and fulfilled summer!
Thank you for the honor of allowing me to serve as your PTA President. It has truly meant so much to me, to serve this community. ❤️💛 Our new board is committed to building on the things we incorporated this year and taking next year to a whole new level!
