Designers are making a big shift from hard surfaces to softer, more inviting spaces and the coffee table is no exception.

🤎 A traditional coffee table brings structure, style, and a timeless look.

☁️ An oversized upholstered ottoman adds warmth, texture, and a little extra comfort (plus they're surprisingly family-friendly!).

There’s no wrong answer here- just different ways to create a beautiful living room.

If you had to choose just one, which are you picking?

A: Coffee Table
B: Ottoman

I always notice that the rooms I love most have layers to them. Linen, wood, woven textures, soft rugs, imperfect pieces with character. Nothing feels too flat or too precious.

Texture is what gives a home warmth and personality. It’s the little details that make a space feel relaxed, inviting, and lived in. ✨

You don't need all new decor to make your home feel like summer. In fact, some of my favorite seasonal updates are the simplest. Some of my favorite summer decor isn't purchased at all. Shells from a favorite beach, greenery from the yard, and pieces collected over time tell a much more personal story than anything bought for a season.

🐚 A bowl of collected shells
🌿 Fresh greenery or branches from the yard
☀️ Natural textures like woven baskets and linen
🍋 A few seasonal accents that bring a little color and personality

There’s something about a light and airy bedroom that instantly feels calming. Maybe it’s the crisp bedding, soft textures, natural light, or the way a few simple layers can make a space feel both relaxed and inviting.

One of my favorite design approaches is keeping bedrooms uncluttered and comfortable while adding warmth through texture, natural materials, and thoughtful details.

The result is a space that feels fresh, timeless, and easy to unwind in at the end of the day. 🛏 😊

Have you ever walked into a room and instantly felt calm... or energized... or cozy? That's the power of color. It's one of the first things we notice, even if we don't realize it.

🤍 Warm whites tend to feel inviting and timeless.

💙 Soft blues often create a sense of calm.

🌿 Greens feel fresh, natural, and grounding.

🤎 Warm neutrals bring comfort and warmth.

🖤 Darker colors can make a space feel cozy, dramatic, and sophisticated.

When I'm helping clients choose paint colors, I'm not just thinking about what looks pretty on a paint chip, I'm thinking about how they want to feel in the space. The best rooms aren't just beautiful—they make you want to stay awhile.

People often ask what accessories make the biggest difference in a room. The truth? It's usually not the expensive pieces.

These are the items I find myself using over and over because they instantly add warmth, texture, and personality:

🌿 Greenery or branches
📚 Coffee table books
🏺 Ceramic vessels
🧺 Woven baskets
✨ Trays

They're simple, timeless, and work in almost any style of home. I love that these pieces help a space feel collected rather than decorated—and lived in rather than staged.

If I walked into your home today, chances are I'd find a way to use at least one of them. What's one accessory you can't resist buying for your home? Mine is probably pillows!

One of my favorite things about summer styling is that it doesn’t have to be complicated. A few simple updates can make a home feel completely refreshed.

Try adding fresh branches or flowers from outside, swapping in lighter bedding, bringing in a little color through pillows or accessories, and clearing off heavy or cluttered surfaces.

Even changing out a candle, styling a simple tray, or letting more natural light in can make a space feel brighter, softer, and more relaxed for the season. Small shifts really do change the feel of a home. ✨

I’ve always loved homes that feel personal. Not overly perfect or filled with trends, but layered with pieces that have meaning, texture, warmth, and character.

A home feels so much more inviting when it reflects the people living there. Favorite books, collected treasures, natural textures, family photos, cozy corners, imperfect vintage finds… those are the things that make a house feel like home. ✨

The homes that feel the best usually have one thing in common… flow.

A few simple ways to create it:
• consistent flooring throughout the home
• furniture layouts that allow easy movement
• balanced scale from room to room
• repeated tones and textures that connect spaces
• lighting that feels warm and cohesive
• less visual clutter
• natural transitions between rooms
• rugs that properly anchor a space

When a home flows well, it instantly feels calmer, more open, and more inviting to live in. 🙌

Ever walk into a room that instantly feels warm, calm, and pulled together but you can’t quite explain why? Most of the time, it comes down to these 3 layers designers always pay attention to:

💡 LIGHT
Not just overhead lighting. Think warm lamps, soft glow, natural light, and cozy evening ambiance that makes a home feel inviting.

🪵 TEXTURE
This is what gives a room depth and personality. Linen, wood tones, woven materials, greenery, soft fabrics, ceramics — texture is what makes a space feel layered instead of flat.

🌿 HEIGHT
One of the most overlooked design details. Tall branches, oversized art, floor lamps, high drapery, stacked books, plants… varying heights create movement and make a room feel finished.
