With all the beautiful selections in the dazzling Chatsworth exhibit w/many of my favorite craftsmen and artists represented thru the last four hundred years; it was the “Free Form Two Seater Bench” in Ash by Irish furniture maker Joseph Walsh that stopped me in my tracks and kept my attention (even tried to sneak behind to see every detail). Loved the entire exhibit, a must see in New York in concept, a “Selling Exhibition”, in the incredible staging by production designer, David Korins, and the history of one of the greatest British estates, Chatsworth House thru the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire on exhibit at Sotheby’s New York thru September 18th.
