My Aphrodite Amaryllis has been in the ground for 3 YEARS… and I had totally given up on it 😅

Then out of nowhere—it finally decided to show off and OH. MY. 😍🌸
What an absolute BEAUTY!

The craziest part? It’s growing under a live oak tree in FULL shade with zero supplemental water. Texas plants really love to surprise you!

Now I’m officially obsessed and hoping this bulb multiplies like wildfire 🤞

Spring is in the Air! 🌷

Hundreds of monarch butterflies filled my Texas garden this week — it’s been pure magic! 🦋 The majority are choosing the Mexican sunflower (Tithonia) over all the usual favorites — Gregg’s mist, pentas, zinnias and salvia. If you’re planning a fall butterfly garden or looking for the best nectar plants for monarchs, this is the one to grow! I started it from seed, , and it was easy peasy to grow and clearly worth the effort! You should give it a try!🌻
