Encore Park in downtown Dallas recently won a Greater Dallas Planning Council Urban Design Award. Encore Park is a rare example of urban design driven by a wholistic mission as opposed to proforma. By creating a dynamic venue for Stewpot services, the goal is to influence preconceptions about homelessness and provide space (both physical and conceptual) to experience art, culture, and history within the urban realm for everyone. The design priorities were public access, transparency, flexibility, and connectivity among three historic buildings and a variety of outdoor spaces.

The recently completed Miramar Residence received a 2021 Paper City Design Award. Congratulations to Wendy Konradi and the entire team. Thank you to the judges who believe the project was, “Beautifully executed!” Brooke Giannetti states, “The designers definitely accomplished their goal of creating a warm modern home. Love how the use of brick flowing through the sheets of glass connects the indoor and outdoor spaces.”

Congratulations to Daniel Gunn for winning the "Staircase Project Design Competition". The competition is sponsored by the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and the African American Museum of Dallas. Daniel’s design, titled "GIANT STEPS – Celebrating Extraordinary Achievements of African-American Leaders in Stem", will be displayed on the outdoor staircase at the Perot Museum through Memorial Day.
