Incubator is loaded up with purebred BBS Ameraucana and German Bielefelders. A few olive eggers are thrown into the mix. We'll see what happens in 21 days.

Rocky Acres has chicks that just hatched. BBS Ameraucana and German Bielefelders. German Bielefelders are an autos*xing breed so pullets are easily identified at hatch.

Fertility is not to bad. German Bielefelders are at 56% Fertility rate and our BBS Ameraucana's are at 60%. Remember the Bielefelders we can s*x at hatch. So you are guaranteed pullets. BBS Ameraucana chicks will be straight run. Shout out to the roosters Mr Kazoodee and Santa.

Eggs are loaded into incubator for fertility testing. Only testing German Bielefelders and purebred BBS Ameraucanas. Later this spring we will be testing fertility for olive eggers and spearmint layers.

Helping the flock beat the heat. Chickens internal body temp is 104° to 107° Fahrenheit. Outside Temps are in the mid 90's. Garden fresh squash and mint diced and places in muffin tin full of water. They get to peck at the ice to get to their treat.

The sweet baby chicks have hatched. At this count we have 43 available. 8 Purebred BBS Ameraucana, 3 heritage Delaware, 10 f2 olive eggers, and 22 f1 green eggers some will be mint eggers and some will be olive eggers. Pictures to come later.

49 eggs in the incubator. Set to hatch in the next couple of days. Will include BBS Ameraucana, a few heritage Delaware, f1 various green eggers, and f2 olive eggers bred back to blue egg layer. Let us know if you are interested in any of them.
