Here are a few pictures of a recent bathroom remodel that we had the pleasure of designing for some very nice folks in Norwich. Hickory cabinetry with a light and airy driftwood stain are topped off with light, bright and durable quartz counters. The vanity and linen storage combination rests on soft and subtle gray floor tile and against soft blue-gray walls. The custom shower features a classic white with gray veined marble tile and a bold black accent tile. The quartz stone color found on the vanity repeats within the shower area along the bench seat, threshold, shower niche, and along the top of the half walls. The homeowner found the perfect black framed mirrors and light fixtures. They are bold and artistic and help to carry the black accents around the room. The contrast of light and dark materials, balanced with soft and subtle gray tones work beautifully together in this spacious bathroom.

Cabinets: Star Mark Cabinetry, featuring the Cosmopolitan door style in Hickory wood with driftwood stain.
Cabinet hardware: Berenson Connections style cabinet pulls in matte black finish.
Countertops and stone shower accents: London Fog by Ultra Quartz. Sinks are white oval porcelain bowls.
Floor tile: Emil Portland stone series in Ash crosscut, 12" x 24".
Shower floor tile: Prissmacer Naples series, Matte white 3" hexagon mosaic.
Shower wall tile: Prissmacer Naple series, Matte white 12"x24" tile with Equipe Splendours series Black 3"x12" accent tile.
Plumbing fixtures: Kohler Simplice collection, featuring the brushed nickel finish.

CLASSIC ELEGANCE. TIMELESS AND TRADITIONAL
Take a look at the before and after photos for this Brooklyn kitchen remodel. They say the smallest kitchens are usually the most challenging, and this compact kitchen was no exception. We utilized every fraction of an inch this room had to offer, squeezed in convenient pull-out storage accessories and new high-end appliances (some larger than the appliances they replaced), and carefully factored in the clearances necessary to make every door and drawer fully open without issue.

Custom cabinet door panels conceal the dishwasher and the refrigerator, allowing the room to appear a little bigger than it actually is. There are lots and lots of decorative details (many of them are subtle) throughout this kitchen. The range hood makes the biggest statement; it's the focal point of the room. The kitchen backsplash features 3X12 wall tile, arranged in a herringbone pattern, adding a splash of color to a neutral off-white color palette.

French gold plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware proved to be the perfect choice for this kitchen. The warm gold finish balances well with warm white tones and nature-inspired green tones.

The lighting in this kitchen is another design element I'd like to draw your attention to. Take a closer look and you'll find that the lighting has been thoughtfully distributed throughout the room, quite literally from top to bottom. (Note the toe kick lighting) Lighting design credit goes to the homeowners; they did a fantastic job!

I could write a book about this kitchen detailing all the features and design elements that went into it. This project was a delight to work on. I am so thankful to have such wonderful customers. I sincerely appreciate their trust in me. They were truly a pleasure to work with every step of the way!

A cherished collection provided the color inspiration for this beautiful kitchen in Pomfret. Dove white wall cabinets placed above rainfall green base cabinets create a crisp and refreshing color palette. The countertop choice is gorgeous and the waterfall edge featured on the center island is simply stunning! This kitchen showcases the homeowner's creativity. Look closer and you'll find a mix of metal finishes. Gold-toned cabinet hardware and gold kitchen faucet echo the gold tones found in the quartz counters. The kitchen backsplash features another mix of materials. The quartz countertop material was used behind the range space, eliminating grout lines in this area. (smart!) A mix of wall tiles arranged in a classic brick pattern cover the remaining backsplash area, adding even more visual interest to this kitchen.

It's always so rewarding to see the project come together. This kitchen was a delight to work on, and the homeowners were such a joy to work with.

Here's a few photos of a kitchen we designed for a couple in Sterling who were such a pleasure to work with! This updated kitchen reflects a modern minimalist-meets-classic style with a mix of rich, warm tones against a cool splash of color. I wish I could locate the "before" pictures because the change is really incredible.

A beautiful new kitchen for a wonderful couple in Plainfield. It features stunning two-tone cabinets from Starmark, Moon Bay (green paint) and Slate stain on the Bridgeport door style. Atop those cabinets is Calacatta Elysio from Q-Quartz. Complimenting that counter is a variegated 2 1/2" x 16" subway tile and a glass accent over the stove of Lunada Bay that pulls all the colors together.

Here's a few before and after kitchen remodeling pictures my customer shared with me. (My apologies for taking so long to post this!) It's a cozy space that got a bright and refreshing update without having to do any major reconstruction. Sometimes it's all in the details, and the homeowners put some thoughtful details into this cute little kitchen. Check out the accent tile above the kitchen sink. If you don't have a window over the sink, and you'd like something decorative to fill the space, a pretty tile accent like this helps to pull all the colors of the room together while creating an interesting focal point. The glass door at the end of the cabinet run is another thoughtful touch. It offers storage while adding decoration to the kitchen, without crowding the small space. The light fixture hanging from the ceiling is simply charming and finishes the space in this fresh, updated kitchen. The color scheme is timelessly light and bright, and definitely makes this kitchen seem larger than it was!

Here's the details that went into the room which we supplied:
CABINETRY: Merillat Cabinetry, the Ralston door style with a java glaze on natural maple wood. Cabinet door k***s and drawer pulls are Amerock hardware with a satin nickel finish.
QUARTZ COUNTERS: Wilsonart Isselburg with a 1/4" bevel edge treatment.
SINK: Stainless steel undermount large single bowl.
FAUCET: Kohler Cruette pull-down kitchen faucet with a vibrant stainless finish.
TILE BACKSPLASH: Edilcuoghi Groovy series in the color Taupe. Accent tile is Pamesa Art series featuring the Sisley pattern; the accent tile is framed with Brennero Ayers Pearl 1"x12" matita edging.

Here's a collection of photos I've taken for a bathroom remodel we designed. This bathroom literally doubled in width making it possible to fit TWO sinks and a separate walk-in shower while maintaining a full size bathtub in this room.. There's a lot packed into this roughly 8' x 10' room, but there's still plenty of room to move around. I love the color palette the homeowner chose! It's fresh and clean, featuring the still popular grey tones and white, but an interesting pop of beige and brown tones warm it up while maintaining the character of the entire home. And the textures found within the herringbone wall tile and the pebble shower floor add even more visual interest to the room.

Here's a list of materials we used:
Cabinetry: Merillat Classic Cabinetry, featuring the "Marlin" door style with "Shale" grey paint.
Vanity counter, shower shelving, shower floor floor threshold, bathtub ledge: Cambria quartz stone featuring the color "Berwyn."
Cabinet hardware: Amerock pulls in the G10 satin nickel finish.
All plumbing fixtures including towel holders, robe hook and toilet paper holder: Kohler Devonshire, featuring the brushed nickel finish.
Shower Faucet: Kohler rainshower faucet with shower column and hand held shower wand.
Bathtub: Kohler Underscore Rectangle 60" x 30" in white.
Toilet: Kohler Cimmaron White comfort height with quiet close seat.
Floor tile: 12" x 12" Edilcuoghi Antigua White porcelain glazed tile.
Shower floor: Dark grey oval pebble mosaic.
Wall tile: 12" x 24" Edilcuoghi Antigua White paired with 4" x 12" Antigua White, then bordered with Brennarro Ayers Snow Matitta. (The herringbone mosaic accent tile was purchased from another vendor)

A huge shout-out to Mike King, the general contractor; his plumber Jim Smith; and Todd Dean, the tile installer. Also to New Era Shower Enclosures, who provided the beautiful shower door enclosure. This bathroom looks amazing!
