Over the summer, a customer asked us to do several jobs around her home. She was wanting to sell her home and move closer to family. She asked our recommendations and we immediately suggested painting the doors and garage door. They were weathered and desperately need a fresh coat of paint.

Today, we got to enjoy some sunshine ☀️ and the customer got her screened in porch trim stained. Fall is the perfect time to complete those outside projects before winter weather gets here.

Our re-decorating and re-painting, refurbishing of Danville Church of God common spaces began in March of 2022 after being approached by Pastor Bryan Montgomery to contract the painting and re-model, to bring to life an idea and vision Pastor had to "Go Into All the World" map (preaching the gospel). Misty and Mary Beth took the theme and carried it throughout into the main lobby, conveying the message of "GO" by adding world globes, maps, suitcases, and compasses. We began in the mens' and ladies' rooms and continued into the main lobby, foyer, coffee bar, and welcome center, and into the fellowship hall dining room.
The results were a fresher, brighter, and more welcoming look inviting visitors and members into an already pleasant atmosphere.
Before and after pictures of the remodel below show a brighter foyer, updated coffee bar and decor throughout the lobby, foyer, and restrooms.
Some furniture was re-purposed and repainted, re-positioned and arranged for a smoother flow throughout, helping to move morning traffic through the lobby without any "traffic jams".

During the 90s, the church got in on the fad of bright colors and wild, big-eyed cartoon character decor for the little kids ministry. While extremely hip and fun at the time, over the years the styles change and become outdated, faded, and worn, and the room needs had changed from toddler and babies to include older kids and teenagers.
The cartoon characters had been painted in layers, which meant Misty and Mary Beth needed to sand down the raised places of the paint strokes in order to ensure proper coverage and no bleed-through of space people eyes peeking through the new coverage.
Leadership decided a newer, fresher decor was needed in order to acommodate a broader range of ages and to give a more neutral background for updated design.

Here are some before and after pictures of the childrens' wing in the fellowship hall. After sanding for what seemed like an eternity with Jesus, we took one of our favorite neutrals, and initially covered with a tinted primer before the final topcoat. Unfinished trimwork was sanded, holes filled, caulked, and painted with a semi-gloss white trim, tying in the entire space with the rest of the structures' color palette.

Earlier this year, Misty and Mary Beth were contracted to do a complete do-over for much of the interior common areas at the well-established Danville Church of God on 4th Street. Here are some before and after pictures of the mens' restrooms. A dark, dreary space was creatively turned into a modern and inviting area.
