‼️Important Notice to Danville Residents‼️

Following the recent hailstorms in our area, the City of Danville has received reports of unpermitted roofing and home repair contractors from out of town and out of state, going door to door, offering free inspections and repair services. Residents are urged to exercise caution before engaging with any individual or company soliciting work at their home.

All persons soliciting door-to-door within the City limits must carry a valid City of Danville Solicitation Permit issued by the City before accepting any offer or inspection. Ask to see the contractor’s city-issued solicitation permit.

Any contractor performing roofing or home repair work in Danville must be licensed and registered with the City of Danville and hold a valid State of Illinois Roofing License, as required by Illinois law.

If a person or company cannot provide proof of proper licensing and city registration, do not accept an offer or inspection. Unlicensed contractors may not meet local code or insurance requirements, leaving homeowners at risk.
