Zone 3 — Bathroom

Set your timer for 15 minutes each day.

(Swish and Swipe every day makes this zone so much easier!)

Declutter the surfaces and the items in your shower caddy or on your shower shelves.

How long have those almost-empty bottles been hanging around? They don’t even have enough product left in them to stand up on their own.

It’s okay to let them go.

Our bathrooms are often filled with unfulfilled promises. Guilt over the money spent tricks us into keeping things we don’t use. If they don’t work, let them go.

And of course there are those products we regret purchasing. Give yourself grace this week and clear out the excess.

Check your makeup products and replace any expired items.

Moisture and steam mixed with product residue can leave a sticky film on floors, shelves, baseboards, and other surfaces.

Tackle these areas a little at a time throughout the week. There is no perfect cleaning product, so don’t obsess over finding one.

If your shower curtain and liner need attention, toss them into the washing machine with a few towels.

Hang them back up while they’re still damp and let them air dry.

Your bathroom will smell fresh and look so clean!

This Week’s Plan

June 14 - 20

The summer season is in full GO mode for sure!

Whether you are in the VBS and summer camp era, the summer project era, or the homestead canning era, you have to admit—we need a plan.

That’s what I love about the tried-and-true system of consistent routines.

These days fly by so fast! Who has time to spend all day cleaning?

Daily

Morning Routine

This isn’t a cleaning session!

* Make your bed
* Start a load of laundry
* Swish and Swipe the bathroom
* Get dressed

Evening Routine

Set your timer and go fast!

I think of this as closing down my day.

* Spend 2–3 minutes putting things away
* Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
* Leave no dishes behind—shine your sink
* Close down your technology

Give your mind time to rest before bedtime.

Zone 2: Kitchen
June 7- 13

The kitchen is often the heart of the home, and this week we’re giving it a little extra attention.

Start by decluttering. Clear off countertops and put away anything that doesn’t belong in the kitchen. Toss expired items from the refrigerator and pantry, and take note of what you already have on hand.

Before adding more groceries to your cart, challenge yourself to use up what you have. A little creativity can turn forgotten ingredients into meals and save money at the same time.

Give your refrigerator shelves a quick wipe-down and straighten pantry items so you can easily see what you have.

Don’t forget the small appliances. Wipe down the coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, microwave, mixer, or any other kitchen helpers that work hard for you every day.

Take a few minutes to clean cabinet fronts, light switches, and appliance handles. These are often touched but easily overlooked.

And of course, give that sink some love. A shiny sink is a simple way to make the whole kitchen feel cleaner and more inviting.

Remember, you don’t have to do it all in one day. A little today and a little more tomorrow adds up to a kitchen that feels peaceful and ready to serve your family.

Zone 1
Front Porch, Entrance, and Dining Room

Does your front porch need a little decluttering?

Remove empty flower pots, outgrown shoes, and anything else that has found its way there without a purpose. Find it a home or let it go.

Grab a broom and sweep away cobwebs from windows, corners, and light fixtures.

Give your porch furniture a refresh. Hot, soapy water usually does the trick to remove months of dust and grime.

Deadhead flowers that need a little attention and give everything a good watering.

Shake out your welcome mat. If you’re patriotic like me, this is the perfect time to pull out a little red, white, and blue.

Entrance

If you have a catch-all station, clear the clutter now.

Find homes for items that don’t belong. School is out! Put away backpacks, lunchboxes, and anything else that no longer needs to sit by the door every day.

Dining Room

Clear your table and any other flat surface that has become a holding area for things that didn’t get your full attention when you set them down.

Clutter is nothing more than delayed decisions.

Decide today if those items deserve space in your home.

Remember, zone work is detailed cleaning. A bucket of hot, soapy water and a cleaning rag can work wonders on dining room chairs. You may be surprised by what comes off furniture where your family gathers to eat.

The process might be a little disgusting, but the results are always satisfying.

A little today and a little more tomorrow.
You are not behind. Just jump in where you are.

May 31 - June 6
This Week’s Plan

Whether you are on summer break with the kids or your schedule is still dictated by an alarm clock and a work clock, we have all entered the summer season.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV

And summer is one of those seasons that seems to pass far too quickly.

The pool days, fireflies, watermelon, late sunsets, family vacations, and even the ordinary Tuesday afternoons somehow slip through our fingers before we’re ready.

That’s why routines matter. They help us manage our responsibilities so we have more time to enjoy the moments that make this season special.

Are you savoring this season or just surviving it?

Simple daily, weekly, and monthly habits can help you enjoy this season instead of feeling overwhelmed by it.

Zone 5 — Living Room

We have a full week for detailed cleaning in the living room, so take it one baby step at a time. 💛

Start by decluttering your surfaces.
A decluttered dirty house looks cleaner than a clean cluttered house!

Then begin your detailed cleaning:

* Dust baseboards, ceiling corners, fans, and the tops of curtains
* Dust furniture well
* Look for fingerprints and smudges around doorways, walls, and light switches and wipe them away with a damp rag or sponge

Rotate your sofa cushions and while they are off… go sofa diving! 😀

Vacuum out crumbs, lost socks, pencils, remote controls, loose change, and whatever little treasures have disappeared into the couch cushions.

If you have a little green machine or upholstery cleaner, this is a great week to freshen up your furniture.

Vacuum thoroughly.
Even laminate and hardwood floors need a good vacuuming to remove dust and pollen from corners and edges.

And don’t forget to check your throws and blankets. A quick wash and refresh may be just what they need.

Remember — you do not have to finish everything in one day.
Set your timer for 15 minutes and keep moving forward. Little by little adds up.

They begin and end your day and make everything in between more manageable.

A little today… and a little more tomorrow. ❤️

July 17-23

Summer has a way of making life feel both full and scattered at the same time.
Late nights, vacations, extra laundry, little projects, and trying to keep up with everyday life can leave us feeling behind before the week even begins.

This is your reminder:
You do not have to do everything in one day.

Small routines done consistently bring peace to a home far better than occasional exhaustion and overwhelm.

Daily

Morning and Evening Routines

Make these rock solid.

Before long, you won’t even have to think about them… you’ll simply do them.

A few simple habits every morning and evening help keep the chaos from piling up.

Zone 2: Kitchen

Start with decluttering—always.
A clean counter brings instant peace.

This week, focus on:

* Wiping down cabinet fronts (hello pollen film!)
* Cleaning small appliances (that sticky buildup is real)
* Tackling one drawer (utensils or dish towels are a great start)
* Checking the top of the fridge
* Giving your sink some extra shine

Set your timer for 15 minutes.

A little extra challenge: clean the kitchen trash can.
