What started off as a simple repainting, turned into scraping, stripping, sanding, and a big face-lift.

This deck was previously painted with Behr deck over approx 5 years ago. We were called out to wash and repaint, however, after the wash we found that the paint had rubberized and was holding in a TON of moisture.

Ill admit, this was the most difficult deck I have stripped thus far. There was a good 2 thick layers of behr on top of 2 different types of stain and the wood had been damaged so tons of splintering.

We fought back and came out on top! After another wash and a lot of sanding, we used Sherwin Williams 'Espresso' to recoat the deck.
