This is baby bird season, if you are unfortunate and have birds making a lot of noise, they are almost certain to be chimney swifts. They are a protected species and you're stuck with them until the babies have the ability to leave. May take a while, as much as a month or more, so close your damper if it's open and endure, call me when they have left.

What a year 2020, and it's still not over. I hope the vaccines are made available to everyone in the world. It's been a tragic year for the wife and I, and a lot of family. We go on. Lou has become indispensable as I age. Not only that, but he's more imaginative than I when it comes to troubleshooting problems. Good, fair, honesty, suck it up if there is nothing to sell or clean, that's what he is seeing now. I think he gets it.

For over 20 years I've been installing only stainless steel products on chimneys here. I've never had to replace one yet. Don't let your roofer or some other quick fix artist take your money for fixing your chimney from leaks. Stop here first, it's where you'll end up. It only needs to be done once. If you leave it up to non professionals you may get screwed.

Leave the animals in your chimney until they and their babies have left. Endure the noise of feeding time, they sound louder and more voluminous than they are. Raccoons and birds will all eventually leave. Ducks won't because they can't get out, so if you feel compelled to rescue a live duck, good luck. In any case close your dampers if you can, then they won't get in. When it's all over call me.
