A big problem we have in our area is beech bark disease. Most of our calls for a tree that broke over, is hanging, or on a house are for beech trees. A combination of an insect and fungus, the wood becomes soft and typically breaks in a wind event. In these photos, you can see the progression of the disease and what to look for on your property.
