We're getting close to finishing up our master bedroom addition. The painters have finished painting the exterior of the house the new color. The mini split is installed.

We just finished up all the Gable ends. The block is getting a stucco finish and we are using LP smartside cedar shakes for the Gable ends. Great looking and easy to install.

All the sheetrock was hung the day before Christmas. Today they've got first coat on with the corner beads moving along.

On this job we elected to do foam insulation.With only a two pitch on the roof and less than 3 ft from the center to the ridge it will be much more efficient then installing batt insulation. The exterior walls are covered with 3/4 inch foam and secured with 1x2 furring strips to the block we passed our insulation inspection and going to be doing sheetrock today.

Today we have a couple things going on with this new master bedroom bath addition.. We are starting the spray foam insulation all the framing is done and inspected sometimes it's hard to tell what the rooms look like in the photos.We are also finishing up the shingles on the roof.

At our addition job we are stripping the complete roof. Back nailing the decking to code and installing aluminum flashing in the valleys. The previous people didn't cut the plywood close enough to the existing roof which left a big gap we decided to make a better transition before we covered it up with the peel and stick ( ice and water for our friends up north) to the roof deck. Which is code in Florida on all roofs.

It's a great day for putting some plywood on the roof. The code here in Florida on beachside or within a mile of the ocean is 5/8 plywood our choice is 5/8 Zip system. Where we can tape off the edges and have a waterproof shell.

Finishing up the knee walls putting up the roof trusses and hand framing the rafters back to the old roof.
