🤗This weeks progress at our 509 Project!🤩
-Exterior paint chosen SW Iron Ore for the wood details and window trim
-Paint first coat, gutters will be removed next week
-Electrical work in the main floor bath
-2nd floor bath painted and tile installed
Shout out to Tom’s Painting, Wire Pro, and Mr. Carpet’s for such a productive week 😃

✨2nd level Floors are sanded at our 509 Project!
They were painted with a thick probably oil based paint. The wood is likely fir and will need a stain and seal to complete. The color already lightens each room! ✨

Exposing chimneys is kind of our thing….🧱✨
Original entry closet will be added to the first floor bath in our 509 Project. We are using that space to fit a 60” x 30” shower surround. There will be extra room around the chimney, and we are going to create entry cubbies and bath cubbies on either side of a wall-more on that once we build in the shower to see how much room we have left!

Becoming a true Decorah resident with my latest garage sale purchase. An authentic Nordic sweater just in time for the fest this weekend! However I doubt I can handle wearing it in the summer, I know it will get use all winter long. Just 25 cents, a steal!!

After talking to the previous owner, I found out it is from a Nordic wears shop that used to exist on Water Street, perhaps a Decorah native can provide the name? She said that her grandmother worked there. How fun!

☀️💛Finally found a vintage bag! Ok I’ve probably stumbled upon them before, but in less than good condition, so this was a real gem for just $10! I love the yellow tone to the natural leather, this is the ‘scooter bag’.

What’s great about these bags is that they were so well made, and simplistic that they are still stylish and functional 20-30 years later! 💛💛.

I also nabbed this book about creative organizing, which I’m basically already doing but I love rethinking areas in my home and using second hand organizers! 🙌🙌

🌸Spring/Summer Appreciation post! 🌅.
When all my stored up projects explode out of the garage and I try to deal with them one at a time. I have been meaning to install this decorative length of fence for a year! Thanks to my reenergized Spring motivation I can check this one off! ✅✅✅

Vaca outfits brought to you by years of thrifting and a huge shoutout to my local thrift queen who swooped in at the end with some linen pieces that made the whole week! That Mexico heat is not comfy in synthetics!! 😆🥵🔥☀️🏖⛱🏝
As always I wish I took more pictures but happy I was able to totally shut off the phone and live in the moment for a few days-highly recommend!
On that note, I’m thinking about doing a Spring and summer live sale with a few boho home goods thrown in, ill have a poll up in my stories to gage the interest, but it’s going to be more of a clear out style since I’ve been quite backed up with posting new inventory ✌️☺️🤷🏼‍♀️

Winter neutrals to get you through this last stretch of time between winter and spring…because I don’t know about you but I have no idea what to wear when my day starts out at 28 degrees and has a high of 55?! 🤷🏼‍♀️😆
