This little girl put the hammer down on this great deer. After the shot, the buck ran to his bedroom, a cutting I performed a while back, and he expired.

Summer is a great time to get in the timber and remove the highly invasive buckthorn. European Buckthorn is a very fast and aggressive growing tree species that out competes native tree species. Cutting and treating the stumps with herbicide paired with annual maintenance is an effective way to fight the spread of this undesirable species.

The first pic is a d**e that's starting to be overgrown with willows, boxelder, and elm. Second Pic is the results of cleanup. Roots from fast growing species like this can wreak havoc on the integrity of the d**e. Better to remove the trees when they're young so the root systems aren't so established.
