The Dedham Square Improvement Project is a comprehensive traffic and pedestrian safety improvement project designed to increase vehicular and pedestrian mobility and accessibility while providing streetscape enhancements. The Dedham Square Improvement Project is a comprehensive traffic and safety improvement project that will improve traffic operations and safety through the installation of modern

coordinated signals with pedestrian phases, reducing crosswalk lengths, and adding handicap accessible ramps. The project will also improve parking with more spaces and parking management capability, and will provide streetscape enhancements such as decorative sidewalk surfaces, tree plantings, bike racks, benches, and period lighting.

There still continues to be some confusion regarding the metered on-street parking spaces during the winter months.

The policy is simple....if you can see your parking space number located on the granite curbing, then you are required to pay for your parking space at any one of the pay stations. If you cannot see your parking space number on the granite curb due to snow, then you do not have to pay for your space, nor do we expect you to dig out the snow to find the space number.

If you can see the space number, than so can the enforcement officer. The enforcement officer will only be concerned with those parking spaces where the space number is visible. Please feel free to pass this information along to others who may still be confused.

The Board of Selectmen voted last night at their meeting to make all on-street parking in the Square free starting today through January 5th. Happy Holidays from the Town of Dedham.

The Police will be switching from parking warnings to parking violations in the Square starting today. Please be sure to pay for your on-street parking space before you go about your business.

The ENTIRE Keystone Parking Lot is now FREE. There will be no more metered parking in the Keystone Lot effective immediately.
