In this classic: Ive got squirrels in my louver … we find not only a front door, but a secret hidden side door allowing access to the inside of the attic just under the valley flashing meets the gutter guard/fascia area. These resilient squirrels have been gnawing on the trim since March and increasingly causing more damage the longer we wait. Not only are they not paying rent, but they’re actively throwing acorn ragers at wee hours of the morning before the alarm sounds. Give us a call 614-273-9733 to schedule your professional wildlife consultation today.

Please, leave me alone! DO NOT TOUCH!

🦌 Please Leave Fawns Alone ❌
Each spring good intentioned people come across a sight like this and think something is wrong. This is completely normal behavior for a deer fawn, and human intervention is unnecessary.
⭐ The More You Know 🌈
⏺️ Fawns are born nearly scentless (so predators cannot find them easily). They also have spots that serve as camouflage and are able to stand soon after being born, but as a protective tactic will remain hidden.
⏺️ It is common for female deer in urban areas to place fawns around homes, backyards, or flower beds. The mother placed it there because she felt it would be safe (often intentionally near humans).
⏺️ To protect her fawn, the mother will spend very little time with it. This is to prevent attracting predators to the fawn’s location. She will leave her fawn in various hiding places for long periods of time, returning several times a day to nurse it. By staying away, the mother is protecting it.
⏺️ Fawns will begin following their mothers at four weeks old. When they are two months old, fawns are able to forage for themselves and are completely weaned from their mother.

Raccoons digging in your flower beds?!? But why? What did you do to deserve to have your beds ransacked by raccoons? Odds are your manicured, maintained, fertilized, watered and mulched flower beds are getting rummaged through by night time critters. In this instance we were called for what was thought to be mole damages in a flower beds, but after closely examining the soil we determined something was digging up the mulch , not necessarily coming from under and raising the ground. Our cameras showed exactly what we suspected, to be true. Raccoons turfing your flower beds looking for bugs. Not uncommon, for this opportunistic night dweller. Bird feeders , trash cans, and well maintained landscapes provide ample opportunity for to survive Remove & Repair Wildlife Services

I’d say this louver has seen its fair share of critters …. Usually where the air flow is exchanged either in or out , we see animal entry. Often due to the need for these air in and out points to breathe, but not allow unwanted guests. Flimsy screen on the inside or thin soft wood will act as a vent cover. Many times over, the animals usually win. If you’ve got unwanted guests, call us at 614-273-9733 we’re here to serve some eviction notices! Remove & Repair Wildlife Services

What is drip edge? Sometimes known as gutter apron….. this metal is supposed to stop water from rolling back onto the roof deck or fascia by capillary action. Although it wasn’t a code item before, if you get your roof replaced now, unless it’s of a steep pitch, it is required. This metal blocks off the gap between the fascia/roof deck and also stops many of the critters we see access homes on the upper perimeter. Picture below: raccoons ripped a hole where the roof deck met the fascia, and after leaving the birds moved in. That small gap offers an opportunity for them to rip in.

Don’t give them opportunities, be prepared and call the professionals who can locate and seal off these gaps on your home. If they’re not paying you rent, they’ve got to go! 614-273-9733 Call today to schedule an inspection

Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious…. Taking advantage of minor construction flaws on modern homes. Exploiting often overlooked areas with less human interaction, places such as a soffit/roof juncture pictured in the video. These are often the most common entry site where Remove & Repair Wildlife Services sees raccoons and squirrels entering into homes. It’s raccoon baby season, the calls are ramping up with the same description or activities. If you or someone you know has uninvited guests not paying you the rent, give us a call 614-273-9733

through the soffit along the gutter line. Inaccessible to the eye, you can see the squirrel ducks under the shingles and enters through the gap at the roof deck/fascia gap where drip edge should be, but on this older home, was not. Minor wood modifications done by gnawing, the squirrels essentially have an awning for their front door. If they’re not paying you rent, give us a call 614-273-9733 Remove & Repair Wildlife Services
